Hewlett Packard is offering a "short course" in Basic Photoshop CS2.
It's free--and information is on their Educational link at HERE (http://h30187.www3.hp.com/all_courses.jsp)
It's a four week class that starts February 22nd, and there is still room to enroll.
An advanced class is currently in session (closed) and will be offered again in March.

Thank you for sharing - I got the upgrade from PSE 3 to Photoshop CS2, although I have not actually received the disks yet. Going to be fun learning everything from the beginning:)

I'm in! I have had CS2 for a long time but just can't slip out of that Elements comfort zone.

Yea, I know--that's what I said too! You'll be amazed --really amazed--how quickly you are NOT going back to Elements, once you've run it for a while. Promise!

Looks like there’s going to be a lot of us in that class, I signed up for it several weeks ago, and didn’t know if it would be proper to mention it on the message board. I’m glad there will be some familiar faces there to encourage, and help me along. :)

There is supposed to be a forum for the class so that we can ask questions, but if were all struggling the instructor is supposed to check the forum and answer questions. But I bet we’ll get the answers faster if we ask on this forum. Thanks for offering Wendy, so glad we have you and Priss here to answer questions and help us learn this addicting but sometimes difficult program. :)

Hang on Karen, and get ready for a fun time! Just be SURE to set an alarm clock so you remember to stand up every now and then and get the blood circulating!--! Good Luck!

I just purchased CS2 and loaded it on my computer so I knew nothing about it. The lesson was very helpful to me. I learned many things from it. I liked that you have a print out to review and make notes on. I found the video's helpful even though they did not have sound. So I feel that for me the lesson was worth while and that I am very satisfied with it.

Lesson says you can alt+hold right on the words that are on that stat bar--- to immediately reveal the document sizes, but as for giving this as it would sit on an 8 1/2 X 11 page--you have to slide to the right of the numbers, into an open place on that "information" bar at the bottom of your image. When you click there, you see what is supposed to represent an 8 1/2 X 11 piece of paper, and a box with an x in it representating the orietation of your layout as it would be printed....therefore a "print preview" It's just letting you know that the doc will fit on the page you are going to be trying to print it on.
Try this---click (no modifier keys) just click---just to the LEFT of the "information" sideways facing arrow down across the bottom stat bar and see if it doesn't pop up a page that looks like figure 1-9 in the exercise. Now open another document--one that is a different overall size--like a 4x6 picture, do it again,--and you can see that it has a different orientation on the way it would be printed on the page (the "print preview.")

Thank you Priss!
I feel so silly! :) That is so simple. I was using modifer keys and trying to click while having the current document window open. It was not working. Thank you so much for you reply and help.
Have a blessed day!
