I am fairly new to this site and am really enjoying it. My question is re: scrapbook kit organization. I have recently moved to a Mac (which I love)! On my PC I used PSE5 and had an entire catalogue in Organizer dedicated to all of my scrapbook kit stuff. I loved how I could see all of my options by simply using a keyword like paper, then narrow it to blue. Now I am going to use CS2 and hope to upgrade to CS3. But I have been stopped in my tracks with trying to figure out how to organize all of these files. I have read many suggestions on this site and others. But, I am wondering if anyone has used Aperture as a way to catalogue? I am trying to figure out if this is possible. I know that LightRoom would not be able to do this. Thanks for any insight anyone can give me on this.

Have you tried IPhoto on your mac? I use it and keywords and just set it to open in Photoshop Elements. It's not perfect but the best way I have found so far. I am open to suggestions too.

I have started using CS2, but I still have Elements 5 on my computer and use the organizer to keep track of my scrapbooking items. If you click on the item that you are interested in using and look down in the right hand corner it will give you the name of the file, and the path to the drive-folder where that item is located. This has been much easier than trying to find another way of keeping track of the many, many kits that I have acquired.
Elements for the Mac doesn't have the organizer, it does have Bridge and IPhoto.

Dot, we don't seem to be getting any ideas here. I just purchased Aperture and am going to give it a try. I will let you know how that works out. I am trying to get my Keword List together in an organized way, as I think that that is going to be "KEY" (no pun intended :-)!!) Wish me luck.

Hi Debbie ...
I use iPhoto ... BUT I have a separate library for my scrapbooking items.
You can use iPhotoBuddy to manage multiple libraries in iPhoto and that makes it so much easier (it is free but he asks that if you like it then you make a small donation :) ) ... here is the link to it:

Hope this helps :)
