Hello, I have just uploaded my 1st album page (to the members gallery) and I would like feedback on it please. After joining scrappersguide over a year ago I've reached a stage where I'm ready for honest feedback. I've made all the papers and elements myself so all criticism is appreciated. I've found the more I learn about PSE the more there is to learn, I have 5 and love it. Thankyou to scrapperguide for all their great tutorials.

Applause! Congratulations on your very first Gallery Post, Christine Ann. This layout is just wonderful. The creative edges to your photo frames, the NEAT use of the letters and the corners, --your buttons and your brads--and you did them ALL YOURSELF! You've got the GREATEST START! I can see SO MANY techniques and effects in this layout. "You "dun" Good!" Congrats and TYFS. Post often, and share--it's how we all grow.

Here's the link to Christine's first page: (http://www.scrappersguide.com/forums/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=10579) Christine, don't forget when you use another designer's papers, or elements, alphas, or anything like that to include reference to it in the comments section when you post up. You made everything here, and there isn't anything I would change. The arrangement of your photos, the post-processing of them to make them tack sharp and just right for a layout, your choice of colors and the "journaling" is absolutely "just the cutest'!

You can find wonderful help with colors, color harmonies, and color relationships for the papers you make and the layouts you make with them at steeldolphin. (http://www.steeldolphin.com/color_scheme.html) if you ever have any question about colors and how they match--or don't.

Enjoy--and thank you for sharing.

Very nice Christine! I love all of the textures and colors. The embossed paper in the background is a really nice effect, and you did a nice job "tearing" the edges too! You should post more often, you really did a great job! I wouldn't change anything either. :)

I don't know if I am in the right spot, but I am having trouble with this weeks tip and using the template. I looked for a forum on the "Tip of the Week - May 21st" and didn't see one. My questions is this: When I follow the directions for inserting a picture it works great for the large white box and for the top right box but when I select the lower left box using the magic wand, it selects both the lower and middle box. Also, when I do a copy and then try and paste I don't have the option to deselect. Should I be using a "Paste into selection" instead. (the directions were to choose edit > paste). Hope someone can help me here and if I have posted this question in the wrong spot I am sorry.

On the magic wand, make sure "Contiguous" is checked in the options bar toward the top.

Paste into selection will work fine.

Thank you. I doubled checked and I have "contiguous" checked as well as "sample all layers". I finally got just the lower left box to highlight by clicking on the dark frame around the box instead of inside the box. On the other shapes I was clicking in the center and it worked just fine. I hope to be able to post my project tomorrow. I love this site and all the help that is offered.
