I have the CS3 disk as all new applications. Not an upgrade. I put in my serial number and it is functioning as an upgrade but I have no other serial numbers to give it. Has anyone had this problem?

I would call Adobe's 1-800 support number as installation support is free, usually. I think it's 8am -5pm though. I know there have been times that people have gotten "educational" versions when they really ordered full versions. Hopefully they'll be able to straighten you out.

If it's asking you for a 2nd serial number then I would think you have an upgrade. Don't know if Adobe would'be boxed it wrong or the vendor sent you the wrong program or what. The only place I believe it said upgrade on my box was on a silver/grey sticker on the right side of the box.

The upgrade version is the entire program. You don't need 2 installed to install three. I just got a new laptop and placed CS 3 directly on it without 2. Assume you weren't able to complete your install without the 2nd number though. As Trish said give Adobe a call.

If you're not a member of the Photoshop Forum on Adobe's website that is always a good place to hang out also.

Good luck.

I would call Adobe, they do sometimes send the wrong thing. They sent me the french version of CS3 and it took quite a few phone calls back and forth to get that straightened out.
