Hi,

I am new to all of this and feel rather stupid.
I went out and bought a good printer (cannon pixma pro 9000) I wanted to be able to print 12x12 borderless. I have 54 scrapbook pages for my mom that I need to print. Well I am really having problems. I though you just went and said print borderless and set your size of paper and it was taken care of. The paper I purchased is Epson matt 13x19. How do I do this. I also had a problem with part of my photo being cut off at the top. I had a cute tag there and the top of it is gone. Are there certain setting in PSE to use to set up everything so it just prints out right? How do you get borderless prints. I realize that you will have to trim the excess of but I do not want to have to trim every side of my paper. Please help!! Thank you so much.

I have had the best luck with this paper by opening a new page 13X19 and dragging my layout onto it at the top or bottom. You need to choose the right paper in your printer setup. I do leave about a fourth of an inch at the top so it doesn't cut off part of it.
I have also used 12X12 paper and my Epson printer does pretty well with that if I choose 12X12 borderless in the printer setup. You could try trimming one first and see how that works. Good luck

Thanks for the tip but I don't understand what you mean. I was told that my
printer was not made to do such large borderless prints and that you have to trick it to do it. By opening a new page do you mean a scrapebook page? Like in PSE file new document and make that the size of my paper? I don't have 12 x 12 in my printer set up. I am getting really frusturated because I have all of these pages to print out by next Friday when I am going out of state to take them to my mom. If you would please explain in a little more detail I would really appreciate it because I am kind of dense when it comes to this stuff.
Thanks,
PS did you mean try trimming a paper to a 12x12 size and then printing it?

I am not familiar with your printer so hopefully someone will come along that has your same printer but yes I meant to trim the paper first and try that. Also I mean to open a new 13X19 page in PSE and drag your layout to it.
Another suggestion is to put your layouts on a cd or dvd and take it to Costco for printing if you have one in your area. They are very reasonable and do a good job. I've had them printed on matte paper and like them. If not I know that Staples print them or you might find other places to try, perhaps Kinkos.

Hello,

Thank you for you fast response I will try again. I would like to be able to do it myself since I spent $500 on this printer thinking it would be fun and wonderful. What a fool I was to think it would be so simple. I just hate to keep trying and wasting ink and paper. I also thought it would be cheaper to do it myself. I went to a Ritz camera store and they told me it would be $8.00 a print and since I have 55 of them I figured I would try and do it myself. Thanks again!

I just printed some 12X12 pages on 13X19 paper with my Epson 1800 that turned out perfectly. First I dragged the layout to a new 13x19 page in PS. I went to printer setup and chose that printer and set the paper to 13X19, (not borderless). Then checked it with the printer preview to make sure I didn't make any mistakes. If you choose borderless it stretches the layout a little so it doesn't turn out exactly 12x12.
I hope this helps you. I had a little problem with this too.
I also print 8X8 pages on 8.5X11 matte paper from Staples and do not choose borderless. They turn out exactly 8X8. I have to trim the excess but that is not a problem for me.

I tried what you said about opening a new document and it worked like a charm, I can't thank you enough for your advice.
