You just discussed this in another post, buy my problem is slightly different. First I put them all in the wrong folder just like you do for Elements 4. First question is: Do I have to remove all those files? I don't remember which ones are the default files. Ques. #2: I made a new folder with alot of other files in it, and inserted it in the right place. When I opened pse 5 there were no names just all my files all mixed up together with the bevels also. All of them were in the folder that I named new layer styles. How do I retain the names so it should show up like it did in pse 4? I would like to see the names of all my files in the list. Thank you very much.

Hi ...
You will need to create a new folder for each type of style if you want them to stay individual :)
... as far as removing the files out of the old place .. well you can just leave them there ot one of us can make a list of the default ones for you so that you can check them :)

Here are the default styles listed in my C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 5.0\Presets\Styles directory:
Bevels.asl
Drop Shadows.asl
Inner Glows.asl
Inner Shadows.asl
Outer Glows.asl
Visibility.asl
Complex.asl
Glass Buttons.asl
Image Effects.asl
Patterns.asl
Photographic Effects.asl
Wow Chrome.asl
Wow Neon.asl
Wow Plastic.asl
Now, if I go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Photo Creations\special effects\layer styles I have a directory for each of the layer styles. So, for the Scrapper's Guide Metal Charms, I have a "SG Metal Charms" folder, for Scrapper's Guide Metals, I have a "SG Metals" folder. In each folder there is only one .asl file. There are also already directories there for each of the layer styles that come with Elements.

Thank you so much. I was getting frustrated with trying to figure it out myself. I really appreciate your help.

I forgot to mention- do I do all the brushes, patterns, etc. the same way? I also have Grant's tools that I have to transfer, do I reinstall from the website?

Hi ...
Everything loads in the same place as it did in PSE4 all except Layer Styles & Actions. :)

You dont have to load all the brushes, just keep them in a folder that is easy to find and load them when you need them(click on the triangle in the upper right side and navigate to the folder you keep them in), I think this also works for patterns and textures too.
