I have only started organizing my scrap papers, etc. I have heard that PSE can get bogged down with the organizing of papers, etc. Some have gone to using ACDSee for Papers, etc and using PSE for organizing photos. Is that necessary? I have downloaded the trial version of ACDSee. I have PSE 5.0 Looks like if PSE can organize photos it shouldn't have a problem with papers, etc. Any comments would be appreciated.

Many people have success using the Organizer for everything. Some don't. Here's some thoughts:
1. Make sure you do a File->Catalog->Recover FREQUENTLY.
2. Keep your tag structure simple. If it gets complicated, you won't use it.
3. Make sure you do a File->Catalog->Recover FREQUENTLY.
4. Tag photos and elements as soon as you import them, otherwise you'll get overwhelmed.
5. Did I mention doing a File->Catalog->Recover FREQUENTLY? ;)
Really, Organizer should be able to handle organizing your scrapbooking kits and photos.

Thank you for your thoughts. I think I will give PSE a try. Would you recommend a separate catalaog for the scrap stuff?

I don't recommend the separate catalog - as there is no easy way to move from one to another. But, you can, if you want.
