Adobe has online e-seminar training coming up on version 6. There isn't a release date yet on their website.

Also listed is a training session with Linda for Photoshop CS3:

Advanced Scrapbooking with Photoshop CS3
Tuesday, November 13th, 2007 11:00 AM PT
Listen in as Linda Sattgast, Adobe's Scrapbooking Expert, teaches some of the cool scrapbooking techniques that are only available with the professional version of Photoshop CS3. You'll learn how to type on a path, how to create your own layer styles, how to use Actions to save time, and much more! You'll also get inspiration from Linda's scrapbook pages and see how she combines digital with traditional techniques.

Thanks Ester. I just signed up. This will really get the juices flowing and whether or not I'll need to upgrade...

I'm signed up and can't wait. Anxious too for 6.0 training. Shouldn't be much more of a wait now!;)

Lucky for you--these webinars are posted in their entirety about a week after they've run---(they are not interactive, then, but the information and the whole seminar is available). Cool, huh! For those who have high speed, this has to be the best delivery system for instruction next to face2face! :)

Awesome - thanks for letting me know. I still want to hear what everyone that attends impressions are. I skipped 4 when there wasn't enough "good stuff" to make it worth my while. So 6 better deliever (crossing fingers for text on a path and spell check!) or I will end up skipping it too. :)

Wags,

I suppose if you're gonna dream, you oughta dream big ("text on a path and spell check"). I doubt we'll get those - they want people to upgrade to Photoshop someday.

I still wonder what the "line" is between PSE and PS. They gave us "easy curves" and a nice B&W converter (which would be the Channel Mixer in PS) and the new sharpening tool in PSE 5.0 - those have been handy. I also like using Frames (even though they slow down my computer) for pictures since they're non-destructive.

You can do quite a bit with the warp tool in the Text tool. And, I've seen some tutorials on using one of the filters to make text go in a circle (I forget which filter off the top of my head). Plus, if you have a friend who has Photoshop, you can ask them to make you some paths, though it can be slow to edit them in PSE.

It's not so bad. I'll download the trial when it's available and see if my machine(s) can handle it. And then I'll buy it on Black Friday :)

Spell check doesn't seem like that big of a dream to me! And it sure would save this dyslexic a lot of grief!

I'd love to upgrade to PS - but I can't justify the expense. Heck I can't really even justify the expense of upgrading to PSE 6.0 :)

I'm in the same boat as Wags. I have PSE 4 and 5 and there is very little I can't do with them. What I can't do, I don't miss. It would still be nice to have it, but if I keep spending carelessly, I would have to go back to work. NOOOOOOOOOOO! Had enough of that already.

Ha! That was funny Sonita! I am still using PSE 3! I would like to get a new Mac computer ( dreaming...) so after I do that I will consider upgrading to Photoshop...so hopefully I'm looking to upgrade to Pse 6!

Sorry if I sound inexperienced or dumb, but what's black friday?

In the U.S. it is the day after Thanksgiving and almost every store in the country has their big sale day for getting everyone to start their Christmas shopping. It is usually the day the companies move into the "black" from the "red," which is why it is called "Black Friday."
