Photoshop Elements..text edit help??

hey i am wondering if anyone knows how to edit text by using Photoshop elements.. i made a banner for my web site forum and the background is like matrix colors and all so i wanna add edits to the text.. i know photoshop cs has blending options but i cant seem to find anything to edit text with here

If the image has already been flattened into one layer, you can't go back and edit the text. If you want to add text, then use the Text tool (capital T). For blending modes, in the layers pallet, on the top left corner is a drop down menu that shows the blending modes.
