How to make curled photo edges

In the October Premier, Linda features a layout by MISS PEPPER that includes a stunning photo of two boys. I am wondering how to get the illusion that the photo has slightly curled corners that lift slightly off the page. I know how to add drop shadows, but how to give those shadows a more dimensional feel. Also, would love to know how to add that deckle edge to my photos. If anyone could point me to a tutorial, instructions, etc. I would be so grateful. I have been a Premier member since the beginning, so if there is a video that I'm forgetting about, please let me know.

And the deckle edge technique was the Tip of the Week was from the August 27th Digital Scrapper ezine.
