Question about installing PSE6

Hi..I have PSE 5 on my external hard drive. I want to intall PSE6 on my laptop. Will there be any issues with brushes and actions I have installed in PSE5? I have saved my photo's in a catalog. Will they transfer ok?

They will not "transfer"---recommend you store brushes in a folder on your desktop and then access them from the "load" button when you want them, rather than re-installing another copy of the brushes you use into the new version. I dont install actions on Elements, so I can't add any information about that, and I have never tried to run any Photoshop program from an EHD, so you're way ahead of me there, Gwen. (Not a lot of help, am I!!! ;) )

Your actions and brushes will not transfer, but you can always use the Load Brushes and navigate to your 5.0 folder and load them. Actions need to go in a new place, and will only show up under "Show All". Here is the path for windows XP:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\6.0\Photo Creations\Photo Effects

Layer styles will go here:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\6.0\Locale\<en_US or your locale>\Photo Creations\layer styles
