View Full Version : If your brush tool doesn't work in PSE 6.0

Just thought I would let you know something. First, I have a Wacom Graphire 4x5 tablet, and I kept my regular mouse plugged in (I didn't like the Wacom mouse).

In PSE 6.0, if you use a tool that uses a brush (the clone, brush, selection brush, merge faces, etc) and you have your tablet plugged in you MUST use the tablet - a regular mouse does nothing. I consider this a bug, because in PSE 5.0, you could use both, and I filed a bug report with Adobe.

Thanks Trish---this is another example of Adobe not listening to their beta testers before the release--hope there'll be a download (upgrade) that will correct this soon! I filed bug report too, and maybe if enough of us do, it'll help.

Priss,

Several over at PET said they had no problems using a "regular" mouse with the tablet, so I'm gonna have to play some more.

I haven't, but I confess, I'm SO BAD with my Wacom that it is like dragging me over the coals to take it out of the cupboard and plug it in--and I've used the "regular mouse" always with no problems. (From the mouth of the inexperienced left handed person for whom the Wacom is a major PAIN!--EXCEPT for extractions and drawing!) :D
