View Full Version : Printing with PSE 5.0 question

I have PSE 5.0 and the printer I'm using is Epson Stylus RX700. When I print directly from PSE both the print preview and the actual print come out much darker than the picture or layout look on the screen in PSE or any other program I open the photo or layout it. When I print from the printer software or other program such as Paint, the photo prints like it looks on the screen. Because PSE is the only place the photo looks extremely dark in the preview and print I'm assuming there is some kind of setting or adjustment that I don't know about. I would print all the time from another program except that PSE is the only one that I have that lets me print odd sizes, otherwise I'm stuck with the standards (3.5 x 5, 4x6, etc.) Can anyone help? Thanks.

Photoshop Elements is a Color Managed application. You will need to calibrate your monitor. I don't have a web-site, but a google search on "monitor calibration" should lead you to plenty of sites. I think Wendy has a site she recommends.
