Just upgraded to pse 6 from 5 on a Vista OS. The Version Sets in 5 do not show up in 6, each picture of the set, shows up individually. How can I get the Version Sets to show? Thanks

Hmmm. Did you do a File->Catalog->Recover in PSE 5.0 before converting the catalog in 6.0?

If you do, and your version sets are still not in sets, then you should call adobe support. The catalog conversion didn't convert properly.

I just installed PSE 6 and went into the organizer and the catalog came in. I did nothing to PSE 5. There was no instructions telling me to. If I use PSE 5 the Version Sets are there. Does this mean I need to uninstall 6, do a recover in 5 then reinstall 6 or can I so the "Recover" in 5 without doing anything in 6? I have e-mailed Adobe two times with no answer back. I am out of the country on an Army Post and can not use an 800 number, they do not list a non 800 number.

Okay...

Your catalog was converted (apparently automagically) when you opened PSE 6.0.

Go back into PSE 5.0, and run the file->catalog->recover. (When PSE 6.0 converted your catalog, it should have left the original 5.0 catalog in tact.)

Then, go int PSE 6.0 and choose File->Catalog. A dialog will appear. It *should* show you a list of the bottom of your old PSE 5.0 catalog, and your new PSE 6.0 catalog. If not, you will need to choose "custom location" and then click on "browse" to find your catalog. Choose your 5.0 catalog, and click on the Convert button at the upper right.

When I go to PSE 6 File>Catalog It shows "My Catalog (current)". When I click on it Convert Catalog window opens and it shows that My Catalog was created by PSE 5 dated today (when I tried to convert it). I select it and click Convert. A window comes up "Conversion Failed" and states: The conversion operation failed. Try repairing the catalog with the software that created it and retry conversion. I go back into PSE 5 and select repair and it said its fixed. I am at a lost. It looks to me that PSE will not complete converting. and its using a catalog from PSE 5. Any thoughts? Bob

I don't have any other ideas. I know that several people have reported problems over at the adobe support forums. (Those are user-to-user forums, too, with an occasional hint from Adobe staff.)

My only other suggestion is to stack your "versions".

I have checked some PSE forums and I am not the only one getting these messages when trying to convert the catalog. looks like PSE 6 has a lot of bugs. I can not use stacks because it doesn't show active. Only automatic is active. Another Bug? Thanks for trying. I may just stay with PSE 5 till Adobe gets its act together. Bob
