Hi - I've decided after dealing with the slowness of my Organizer to just use the Editor and do all my organizing with ACDsee 10. How do I delete my organizer? Do I just delete the catalog? Thanks!

Yes... Depending on your version... In PSE 3, 4, or 5, the extension was .psa. I don't know the new extension for PSE 6. You will also want to find the thumbnail cache (tn.x.cache where x is a number, or thumbs.x.cache) and delete it. If you are in PSE 5.0 or earlier, you'll have to remember to uncheck the "Save in Organizer" flag on the save dialog.

Thank you! I have pse 5.0 - now, how do I get to what you just described to delete it? Not sure where to go from here. Just a little more direction if you don't mind! THANKS

For Windows XP the path to the catalog file is:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Catalogs\

The possible paths for the thumbnail cache (I have both 5 and 6, so I'm not sure which one is correct, as I have both paths):

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\Catalogs\[your catalog name]

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Catalog Folders\[your catalog name]

If it is vista, I think you have to change Documents and Settings to ProgramData. You have to Show Hidden Files and Folders to get to the folders.
