Can someone please direct me to a list of all the shortcuts for Photoshop CS2? There has to be a list somewhere! I just can't keep up with any of the shortcuts. I think my mind is on overload right now! :p
I am very new to all of this. We just purchased Photoshop CS2 and Linda's Volumn 1 CD (which I am just loving!).
Also, can someone please tell me how to "undo" something. Is it called stepping back? Anyway, I just need to know how to undo the thing I just did. See, I told you I was brand new! :o
Thank you for your help! Have a blessed day!

Hi Team S!
In the help menu you can find a list of the keyboard shortcuts for your tools. The shortcut is also noted next to the tool itself in the tools option bar.
In PSCS2, you may use the "step backward" to undo a step or you may use the keystroke... "control + alt + Z". Keeping in mind, you can only go back so many times.
I also have found it helpful to write down keyboard shortcuts that Linda shares with us. As you go thru her videos you might want to start keeping a list.
Hope this helps!
Linda... :)

ScrapperFL-
Thank you yet again! WOW! Help from you twice in one day! I greatly appreciate you.
I didn't check the help menu. :o That would have been a good place to start! I should have thought of that!
That is a super idea to keep a list as I watch the videos. I am just going through CD Vol. 1 for the first time. I am almost finished and ready to go through it again and take notes so the timing for this tip is perfect. I think I will take notes and then create a running list in Excel.
Thank you again for your time. Have a blessed day!

Mrs. Team S, I believe in Linda's CD Vol 1 there is a PDF file with all the shortcuts listed for you. ~Sue ;)

SusannB-
Thank you! I took a look and saw the shortcuts for Elements 4. I will see if those will work in CS2. Thank you for the heads up! I appreciate you taking the time to tell me about that. I missed it somehow! :o
Have a blessed day!

In Photoshop I always have my history palette on the workspace, and always step back (for more than one step) on it...just click back up to the history state you want to begin again with. Takes getting used to if you are used to Elements ability to ctrl+z multiple times. Guess Adobe thinks we don't make so many mistakes when we run Photoshop! (: But, I suppose the ability to save the history states in Photoshop makes it worth the big step!
One abbreviated--but useful short cut list is here: (http://html.dekooi.nl/artist/photoshopwindows.html)

Priss- Thank you so much. I will have to get used to working with the history palette.
Thank you also for the link! That is one of the best shortcut lists I have seen. I love that it has a little picture of the tool it is referencing. That is super for a newbie like me!
I appreciate you help and your time. Have a blessed day!

Not sure what version of Photoshop that list is for, but it seems to be a previous version to CS2, as Ctrl G doesn't group in CS2 any more.

Gosh, does in mine--wonder what setting I have that you don't, Irene. Ctrl+g groups with previous in CS2 or maybe I haven't got an "update?" I'd hate it if that control got wiped out! (:

Really? It still did in CS but not CS2... Hmmm, I'll have to check that out.

Okay, this is just the weirdest thing. My apologies. I couldn't get it to work the other day, and today it works just fine.

Irene this is the work of the AP's (the Adobe Phantoms!) ---I'm convinced they live inside the program and ATTACK!

Irene: My CS2 doesn't do that short cut either. If you figure out how to make it work could you let me know?
Thanks so much,
Connie

I always keep the history palette open in Elements and use it to undo. If I don't like the way something is turning out, that's the quickest way to go back to where I went in the wrong direction.

Hi ...
I'm getting a bit confused with this ...
On mine ...
With CS ... Control G created a clipping mask (group with)
but with CS2 ... Control G groups layers (creates a new group)
and Control Alt G creates a clipping mask (group with)
I don't think that I changed any of my shortcuts ...
