Hello All,
Sorry for this simplistic question but I am new to Photoshop cs2. I normally made half fold greeting cards with Print Master. I was wondering if there is way I can make the same half fold cards using Photoshop's CS2?
Thank you,
John:)

Yes, you can! I make greeting cards all the time. Just create a new document and set the size you need. Remember, you're creating a front and back. So if you want a 5x7 card, your dimensions will be 10x7 for a portrait card and 7x10 for a landscape card. Mark the center of your card with a guide line and begin decorating!

I am also new to digital scrapbooking, too. We are working on our family's Christmas card right now.
We are using a service where you can upload your picture to put on the front of your card. You have the option to upload more pictures on the inside and write your own personal message with your own handwriting.
The best part I like about this service is it will print it, stuff it, and mail it for you. You can send 1, 10, or 100 in minutes. We usually send more than 100 cards a year. This saves us money on photo paper and ink, let alone the time it takes to print them out and address them all.
I am less stressed about doing our Christmas cards this year.
If you want more information about it, you can PM me.

While I have a couple of different boxes of folded card, I also use a service to upload and print. Besides Christmas cards, this year has been a busy year for me...because my sister discovered what I can do with photoshop. Have done several children party invites, a Christmas card and thank you cards! Love making cards!!!
Hi teachin..... what's the name of the company you're using for your cards? Are they email cards, or printed ones? Sounds like a great timesaver!

Jan,
The company is called Send Out Cards. They are real greeting cards. I think they are really high quality cards. It's an online system where you import your addresses and upload your pictures.
If you choose to send the same card to multiple people (like Christmas cards), it has the option to personalize the greeting without any more effort (for example, Dear Jane or Dear Mrs. Smith). You don't have to type that in for each card because it takes it from the addresses you have imported. You can do the same for invitations and thank you cards.
Here's the timesaver for us - we used to print the address labels and return address labels. My kids would have to place all of these labels along with the postage stamps on 100+ cards. With this system, it will do that all for us and mail it for us, too. We also save on the cost of the labels, photo paper, ink, and especially our time.
My kids have used them for sending thank you cards from their birthday parties. They have fun uploading pictures from the party and putting it in the cards to their friends.
You can even try it out for free. It has limited features so you could probably only upload pictures on the inside of the card. Try sending it to yourself first so you could check out the quality of the card. You can send postcards or tri-fold cards, too.
