Everything turns N&W in workspace

When I use the move tool &/0r ctrA/ctrC>ctrV to bring something unto my canvas(Layout I'm working on) everything changes to black & white.No color!
this just happened this eve. Never a problem before. I use elements6.Any idea how to correct?

Check to see what color mode you're in.... it you're in grayscale, just switch to RGB.

That was it!!!:):) It was a template that I downloaded & it was in greyscale.Changed it to RGB & fine now. I never ran into that before-receiving something not in RGB.I had already started a new layout & was working so I thought the template was flawed.Never thought to check the mode on the template.You are so smart.:) thank you

It was probably because grayscale takes up less space, so the template would be smaller.

Yes that was probably the reason;although I have never gotten anything in greyscale before. I immediately went into panic mode thinking the template was bugged some how & I'd need my virus checher or my Elements6 would need to be restarted using the keys(forget which ones but I got them written down) at startup you are always telling people about to reset Elements.I am so happy that it was a simple thing to just change mode .
