I have PSE7 and I am running Vista. When I open the organizer I can not see the Tool Bar that should be located at the top left of center. I have a double right facing arrow that I can click and then all the tool bar options display as a drop down list, each with the appropriate drop down option list. The tool bar should contain the File, Find Edit etc. options. I would prefer that the TOOL BAR OPTIONS were displayed across the top as in other versions. I imagine there is a setting some where but I have not been able to locate it. Can anyone direct me to the correct setting? Thanks so much

Your screen dpi or resolution setting is too high. I believe you need to set it at 96 dpi.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to change dpi that in Vista. But, I believe if you search the Adobe Photoshop Elements support forums at adobe's site, you may find an old message that details the steps for that.
If you right click on the desktop, and choose Personalize, and then choose Display options, and then lower your resolution using the slider, until you find a resolution that gives you your menu.

Thanks Trish, but that is not the problem. I have moved the screen resolution all over the range and all that happens is that my display gets bigger and bigger and that is not fixing the problem, it is making it worse.
Any other ideas?

Then your dpi is set too high.
This is the information from Adobe's Support Forums:
The Organizer’s Menu Bar doesn’t show
The Organizer’s menu bar (File, Edit, etc.) won’t show if your display is set in Windows to a DPI larger than 96. Many displays, especially newer, high-resolution displays and laptop screens, are set to a larger DPI to make screen fonts more readable.
To workaround this bug in PSE, you have two options:
1. Change the DPI to 96:
http://www.adobe.com/go/kb402728
2. Set the option Edit > Preferences > General > Use System Font. (This works on my Vista system for both 6 and 7, but I haven’t tested it on XP or other computers.) The results aren’t always the prettiest, e.g. the font in the Editor’s menu bar stays small, but the font in the dropdown menus gets large, and much of the PSE text stays small. But this workaround at least lets you keep the DPI large so that you can read the text in all your other applications.

I am going to try the workaround with the Preferences. Right now everything looks ok I will just have to see what else is affected as I work along.
Thank you so much for putting up with all these questions and as usual I feel well supported by all the forum folks.
