Hi ...

Sadly if the glare is white it means that there is little or now information in the area and that the highlight is blown. Probably the best way of rescuing the image is to substitute the eyes from another photograph :)

Linda has a video on her "Making Fido Famous" CD. Here are the main steps:

1. Magic Wand Tool-Add icon: Select both the "white glares" in each eye
2. Select>Modify>Expand by 1 px
3. Select>Feather by 1 px
4. Ctrl J to place the "eyes" on a new layer.
5. On the new layer: Enhance>Adjust Color>Remove Color
6. Burn Tool (Range-Highlights; Exposure 50%): Paint the pupils; be careful not to make them perfect; have some variation.
7. Optional: Brush Tool (hard brush; 1 to 5 px, as desired): Paint a white dot in the center of the pet's eye to give it some sparkle.
