PSE7 24x12 LO

Can someone tell me how to cut the 24x12 LO I created into 2 12x12s for double spread pages. I am using PSE 7. I want to put half of a gate on each page and have the sides line up properly, hence the 24 with in the LO

First, save your 24 x 12 layout.

Then, turn on your rulers. (I think it is under View->Rulers, but if not there, one of the menu items toward the right end of the menu has rulers in it.)

Use the Rectangular marquee to select the left half of your layout. Then choose Image->Crop. Then, save that under a NEW name.

Click on (or ctrl-y) Undo, until you are back to your 24 x 12 layout.

Again, use the Rectangular marquee, but select the right half of your layout (use the ruler to guide you). Then choose Image->Crop. Save that under a NEW name.

Use undo to get back to your original 24 x 12 layout.

Save your original first, and then go to Image>Resize>Canvase size> Then change the width to 12 inches. I believe your hight should already be 12 inches, if not change that too. Then where it says Anchor, click the upper Left corner arrow and then OK. It will tell you some clipping will occur but go ahead and Proceed. Then, save that file to whatever you want to call it. Then go back to your original and do the same thing except click the upper Right hand arrow (by Anchor) and continue as before. Save that file as you wish. I believe that should work for you.
