Hi All,

My pretty pink laptop that hubby bought me in Sept for my birthday, crashed in January. Fortunately, I had the wherewithall to back up by catalogs when it started acting squirrelly! Dell sent a new hard drive, I reinstalled PSE7, restored my catalogs and other goodies.

Now, the problem - everytime I open the editor, it tells me that photoshop has encountered a problem and must close. So I try again and it opens perfectly. It never opens the first time. I've tried opening the organizer first then the editor - same thing. The organizer opens, the editor opens and promptly shut everything down. Try again and it works fine. I didn't have this problem before and don't know why I'm having it now.

Any ideas what is happening here????

Thanks, Annie

Not really. Did you disable any antivirus software when you installed PSE 7? It is odd that it opens the second time.

Hi Trish,

I decided to try the ctrl-alt shift thing and delete the settings. This time when I opened the editor I got the message "Could not load content shapes because the file could not be found" - I think that this is progress because it didn't shut down altogether!

Next, I shut the whole computer down and rebooted. This time it opened perfectly. Whether it'll open that way tomorrow.....I guess I'll wait and see. If I have to uninstall and reinstall, I'd rather do it sooner that later!

Thanks,
Annie
