View Full Version : The eraser tool
In the pass few days I have had some trouble with my tools in Photoshop CS3. Today it is the eraser tool. It will work in Elements 5.0 but not in CS3. I use Vista. What do I do? Help!

Usually when tools misbehave, you reset preferences. Quit Photoshop, then press and hold ctrl-alt-shift as you start it. You will get a dialog asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do.
You use the same method in either Elements or Photoshop to reset preferences.

Trish, thanks so much! I haven't had any tool troubles but it's good to know in case I do!

If you've ever read Classroom in a Book, they reset before each example they have you work on in the book. I certainly don't do that, but when stuff starts acting goofy and tools don't work, it works like a charm everytime!
