I was wondering what everyone's favorite digital scrapping supplies are? What could you not do without? I am needing some gift suggestions. PSE4 is the program that is used. Thanks for your help!

A wonderful gift would be one of Linda Sattgast's tutorial disks. A program that I added to PSE was Richard Lynch's "The Hidden Power of Photoshop Elements". It has several actions that I use. I like to make my own embellishments, backgrounds, and frames so these actions make it easier to do.

I would suggest Linda's Cd's as well. They not only have tons of stuff on them but they can be used for projects outside of scrapping because the tuts are universal to anything you do in Elements. I originally bought them for the blending tut before I ever started doing scrapbooks.

LInda offers a bunch of stuff in her store, and she did say she's working on a new CD, maybe it will be out in time for Christmas? If the person isn't a member here, you could give her a gift of premier membership. You could also consider a gift certificate for buying a bound album at any one of the online places that provide those things (Memory Makers, Shutterfly are just two.) If the person isn't already a member of Photoshop Elements Techniques, you could get them a subscription there or one of their training CDs or an online class. There's always books, if they're just starting out. Two good ones are Barbara Brundage's the Missing Manual and Scott Kelby's book for PSE4. You could consider something from Atomic Cupcake (I've never tried them but several people here do use their actions.) One of the gifts recently given away was that Kaliedoscope Kreator, so you could check that out...

A Wacom Tablet would be great. The $99 one is great for most people. A portable hard drive or jump drive to store stuff on would also be a great gift.

Favorite tools or a digi-scrapping wish list? (Christmas is coming!)
My Digi-Scrappers wish list:
more RAM (bigger, better, faster, MORE! lol)
laptop
Wacom tablet
more time to scrap!
new scanner
external hard drive
Canon S3IS
pack of CD's and/or DVD's
printer ink
subscription to digital scrapbooking magazine from Simple Scrapbooks (Christmas might be too soon for that - I think January is the publication date for the first issue)
Linda's CD's (I have one and it's great)
Scrapper's Guide Premier membership (I already have this and love it)

These are all really good ideas. I'm gonna borrow some of them for my Christmas list, too! ;)

I'm pretty much of a newbie trying to soak it all in and learn the language as fast as I can, so consider that my remarks come out of that perspective... That said, here goes:

I, too, would heartily recommend Linda's CD's. I got a wild hair & splurged last Thursday and placed an order for premier membership and both her cd's. WOW. I truly can't say enough about them. And they got here really fast... I had them on Saturday and spent a good deal of my day off on Monday watching them. I am thoroughly impressed. I can't imagine how long it would take me to accumulate this much useful (and understandable) info any other way. TOTALLY recommend these! SOOOO worth the $$$. I probably would never have figured out how (or why) to use some of the tools (gradient especially comes to mind) without these. I'll be referring to and absorbing all this info for a long time. It gives me an indescribeably good feeling to know I have all that knowledge in my hot little hands (and cd drive..LOL)

A book I've been enjoying is Renee Pearson's Digital Designs for Scrapbooking. It's great for folks who like templates and those who would like to learn how to create their own. Also comes with a cd with 4 paper collections and some assorted embellishments. I really like the particular templates included, especially the 8 1/2 x 11. Very graphic, mostly 'straight up' (for some reason I'm not a huge fan of tilted pictures on pages), but could be done up in any style with the right papers, edges, etc. Amazon has this book for $13.57 - free shipping if your order totals $25 or more.

I'm looking forward to the Simple Scrapbooks digital subscription, but I can't find out how many issues in a year. Anyone know?

Great thread! I love reading all these ideas!

I think I heard the digital magazine will be 4 times/year, but I don't see anywhere on their site that confirms that.
