What a terrific start on the galleries, Ladies :) --in just a few hours this first day, WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL layouts are up. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Isn't it fun to ooohhh and ahhhh? :D
When you post, please do take a minute to tell us about your layout, what techniques were the most challenging that you used when you did it, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, please tell us the designer of any papers or elements you used, and, of course IF YOU USED a TECHNIQUE you learned from Linda!;)
It is terribly important that we honor the terms of use of each designer we use, and besides that --then we'll know where to go if that's JUST what we were looking for.
And, for the the "font" collectors among us--be sure to tell us what font's you used too!---This all shows up under your layout in the gallery, and is just great information to have.
Hint: You can go back to your layout, click the EDIT button, and add this info, then SAVE it--and it shows up!
Please take time to leave comments pointing out what struck you most about some one else's post, too
Just count on havin' fun--

I have never posted layouts before and have downloaded the Guide to posting just fine. However, the Guide to resizing is trying to be difficult. It keeps telling me that I cannot log on to this page, because I am not registered (However, I am, and I received the previous download??) What am I doing wrong?:o

I wonder if you somehow got logged out. Try logging in again and going directly to the download page for the PDF. If it doesn't work, let me know!

Thanks Linda, it worked. I thought I had tried that before, but....

I have tried all weekend to post a layout but a message appears that the internet connection could not connect. The very first time I tried it worked but the photo was so small I deleted it and tried again, never to have success again. What am I doing wrong? The page that says it is processing appears but then the connection is lost, host having difficulty etc... I'm not losing my internet connection because I try other links and it works just fine. Help, help, help! I want to have fun too!

:( I tried forover 3 hours last night to upload my week 3 photo. It never worked. I got as far as the uploader the it wouldn't go anywhere. I have DSL and I have uploaded before so that's not the problem. Also photo is under 56k. Any help would be appreciated.

I had some that would not upload even though they were under 125k until I started doing this:
Go to the File menu and Save for Web. In the window it brings up, towards the center on the right, change the pixed count to 600x00 and be sure to click Apply. Then go to the upper right and change the quality to either Medium or High, whichever will still keep you under 125K. You can see the size of your JPEG in the right side picture window, below the picture. Then save it and upload it. This has worked every time for me, and I had a hard time getting things to load any other way, even though they were under 125k. HTH!

I have tried to upload my picture using WBWT Oct 9th but it is too large. Do I have to start all over and create a new picture? I saved the original as a jpeg and followed the guidelines for resizing but it is still too large. What else can I do?

You simply need to reopen your original and change the size to 6x6 and then do a save for the web at 600 x 600 pixels with quality set to high. If you don't have the original PSD file you can open the jpeg and change your pixel size to something lower than what you currently have and save it again as long as the number under the picture on the right is below 125. Saving a jpeg a second time may result in some loss of quality but it will not be that noticable.

Thank you for the help. I redid the technique and was able to get the file to upload. It was probably a good thing that the first one didn't work so I can get the idea down. I am new to PSE and while I am anxious to learn I am also slow. I looked at all the other posts and only hope I will be as good as everyone else. I love everything I see and want to know how to do it right now. I guess I will have to go through Linda's videos. I bought Vol 1 and 2.

Freetimegone,
It is not a competition, there are no good or bad images just individuals having different ideas and using them. We can all learn from each other by looking at what others do with the same technique. Does that make sense ?
Karen:)
