FotoFusion (supposedly revolutionary software for digital and paper scrappers) was introduced at Memory Trends. Has anyone checked this software out? I'm a newbie to Digi Scrapping...and I'm wondering if it could be interfaced with PSE 4 and/or with our own collection of digital elements? I downloaded an older trial version and played around. I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR WHAT YOU EXPERIENCED DIGI SCRAPPERS THINK!
Why would it be better than PSE5?

Jane,
I think FF helps people who don't want all the technical stuff of layers and putting their layouts together. I know over at scrabook-bytes, lots of the people use PSE's quick fix or whatever to clean up their photos, and then use FF to scrapbook.

Hi. This is my first post so hope I do it correctly. I am new to digi and I tried Foto Fusion but canceled it after a couple of weeks. We are on a dialup and most things on FotoFusion are downloads or being hooked to the Internet all the time. This disn't work for me although the program was kind of fun. I then discovered Adobe Elements 5 and have been much happier not having to download and there are many more possibilities.

I've had FF on my computer since it was introduced. I took two classes on it at Digital Scrapbook Place years ago-it's a very nice program but doesn't really use layers like PSE. They recently "redid" the software and the version that I have is no longer available. I did upgrade to one of the new versions but have never used it-I still have the old version on my hard drive. I keep it because my daughter in law uses it (she has my copy of the new version) and loves it because it is fairly simple and doesn't have a huge learning curve. I have gave her my old PSE4 (along with Linda's CD's) after I upgraded, but she says she doesn't have time to learn it. FF is fine if you just want to put photos together in a simple layout or collage-you can use commercially available scrapbook elements and papers (but can't really create your own). There is no masking feature for blending photos together (at least in my version) and there are very few tutorials out there for it. I have used FF very rarely since I got PSE and regularly consider deleting it from my hard drive-my advise is to learn PSE, you won't be sorry and there is nothing you can do in FF that can't be done using PSE.
