I would like to make a background page that will have tire tracks on it. I am doing this for a scapbook page I am working on.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can find one or make one.

If you go to Deviant Art, and search for a brush using the words "tire tracks" you may be able to find a free brush to download. I'm assuming you know how to use brushes. If not, let us know. (You will have to use your right bracket key to make the tracks big. Put them on their own layer, then you can use the transform tool to make them even bigger.)

Don't know what kind you are looking for -funky, realistic, drawing. Off hand the only one I've bumped into is Brusheezy - has a tank pattern grunge brush. There are hundreds of photos at the texture sites or Flicker type places that have tire treads. You could fade/blend these into a brackground or make your own brushes from them if you can't find any brushes that are acceptable.

Clipart is always a place to look also if you are having a hard time finding what you want. Additionally, when you google, instead of google web, you might want to check out google images. A bunch come up ...you could use some of these as examples if you need a pattern to reference to if you want to build your own. Google images, graphics, drawnings, etc. As Shar mentioned, Divant Art is a wonderful site that has all kind of formats.

I guess when you search, I wouldn't limit myself to brushes, there might be some shapes, photos, clipart, patterns out there also.

Adobe Exchange has a style called 4 x 4 tyres and tracks. Did not download it to check it out. They also have a custom shape download that is called my tracks. It is human and animal tracks. The tire tracks might be too simple looking for what you want.

Often finding or making the right brush is the hardest part. Good luck.

I just discovered some tracks right in PSE (I have version 8, but they may be in earlier versions). Go to the Content Palette (in V-8 you go to Window>Content) select "Backgrounds" and scroll down until you find the tracks (5th row from the bottom on my screen).

I found tire track images a while back by Googling "free vector tire tracks" or the like.
Some sites allow free downloads of their vector images. Sometimes it's just as easy to capture the image off the screen as a png or jpg, bring it into PS and clean it up, tweak or alter. I use FastStone Capture, it's a free app and very handy.
