I think I am ready to purchase a wide format printer. I hear Epson is good. Any opinions on price, quality, etc? Heard of any sales???
Thanks,
Penny

Both this and my older Epson printer produce the most awesome prints I have ever seen.
Note - to get the best performance from this printer, buy only genuine Epson Ink and Epson paper. I have tried other paper - but I like the way Epson paper looks. As for the "geunine" ink - it's expensive, but I would never consider using off-brands on a printer of this quality.
My favorite media is semi-gloss - however, Epson does not have semi-gloss 12x12. This isn't a problem for me because I print my LO's in 8x8, but not having 12x12 semi gloss when you manufacture a wide format printer is an issue that bugs me to this day.
They do offer 13x19 semi-gloss and most who use this size fill the rest of the page with photo prints, but I find this lapse in product offerings really strange, since I assume wide format printing is aimed at digi-scrappers.
And yes, I did say I have a wide format printer and print my LO's at 8x8. ;) I bought the wide format, just in case I change my mind. And for the flexibility the wide format printer offers.
But be aware - this printer has a large "footprint" - it's wide (barely fits on my 24 wide printer stand) and from front to back, when the paper guide and output tray is open, it takes up alot of space.
