OK, I understand what png is and I understand Quick Pages. This month's Quick Pages were in png ("New") and regular. Could someone explain what the difference/advantage is? I have used the regular Quick Pages and, with Linda's video help even resized them to make cards. Are png Quick Pages easier to use? Thanks.

I guess you could say they are easier to use. There are no layers to begin with. When you add a photo or other elements, then you will have layers. However, the "con" side would be that you can't change anything in the original png file.

I haven't thought of resizing a Quick Page for cards -- thanks for sharing that idea.

I love having both options! Sometime I'm just want to add a picture, some journaling and be done with the page... other times I like to fiddle with everything myself. Thanks for offering both!

I love having the option to use either. Both have merits. With a .png file, everything is sort of done. Just drop a picture into what's there and tell it to go backward. However, it is more or less locked into the colors that are there as well as those patterns unless you really want to extract and change things. With the layered templates, it is easy to change up the paper, elements, etc, using each layer of the template, so it h as better personalization properties.
Hope that helps?

I vote for both options, too. I love QP's but sometimes I want to delete one of the items or move it or resize it (or even take a couple of the QP embellishments and make a totally new page with it)- with pngs, I have the option. :D
