Hi ...
Its not really possible to change 12 x 12 into 8.5 x 11 pages ... well not unless you cut part of the original 12 x 12 off or add some on to one of the sides. Size changing only really works if the ratio stays the same ... so 12 x 12 changes easily to 8 x 8 or 4 x 4.

Are you working with the layered quick pages? If so, there is a video description on the home page that explains the best way to change 12x12 pages to 8-1/2 x 11. It involves resizing and moving some elements, but it can be done. Hope this is helpful.

I always work on 8.5x11 pages. Here's what I do:
1. Create a new document 8.5x11 with white BG.
2. Open 12x12 layered quick page (do not use PNG quick pages for this method).
3. Click on the top layer, then Shift click on the bottom layer (or whatever layers you want).
4. Drag selected layers onto 8.5x11 document.
5. Press Ctrl T (Transform Tool), then press 0 (zero) so you can see the boundaries of all the layers you just moved.
6. Now, press Alt while you drag one of the corner handles in until the top and bottom borders touch the top and bottom edges of your 8.5x11 page.
7. Next, click the checkmark to accept the transformation.
8. From this point on, you need to resize/move individual layers to suit your desires!
This sounds like a lot, but it is really not once you get used to the steps each time you create a page.
I usually double click the white BG layer and name it Crop Image. When I'm all finished with my page, I Ctrl click the BG thumbnail to get a selection around it. Then, I click Image>Crop. This trims off any excess paper/embellishments sticking out beyond the 8.5x11 page.
Good luck!

WoW! Thanks for the step-by-step guidance. I scrap mine at 12x12 but I always wondered how to change to a different size, especially one with a different ratio. Doesn't seem so scarey now!! I also like your cropping tip at the bottom.....can use that for any page!
