I am not sure how, I found this on the net, if I was on one of the scrap web site or what. but this free download, is a Photoshop abr Viewer (http://abrviewer.sourceforge.net/)I really do like it, it lets you see all of the brushes you download for Photoshop, you can make a thumb of each brush, I make a folder in my Document called it Photoshop brushes saved the thumbs and the abr file in the same folder, now when I need a brush I just go to the abr file I need and load the set of brushes I need.

Laura,
I have the abr viewer and it is great - saves putting all those brushes directly into PSE :)

The abr Viewer is AWESOME! I LOVE being able to look at the brushes and know just which set I need to load in order to get what I want to use. Especially since I'm one of those that will NOT load anything extra into Photoshop 'cause I want it to run faster. :D
Could some one explain this a little more? After you down load where to install... stuff like that. I havn't downloaded it yet but I am thinking about it but I really don't know what it is. It sounds great!

Don't know if it works on a mac or not, I'm sure the site will tell you.
I installed mine on my desktop and then from there, I just open it and then you move around to the folder or folders where you have your brushes stored on your computer. It works REALLY well!
I've got the viewer, what I can't find are cat and dog paw brushes. I found one set containing two brushes, one cat and one dog. Did 4 searched and came up with the same set each time. Any ideas?

Eva,
Aren't there shapes in PSE4 for cat & dog paw prints? I kind of remember using them and adding a bevel to get a better look :o
Karen
Karen,
Thanks a bunch. I never thought of that. I will play a bit with that after dinner. Hubby is picking it up tonight so I don't have to.:D I may end up with a set of paw prints. Thanks again and have a good morning.

Yes--these dog and cat paw prints are common to both Photoshop and PSE --they are in the custom shapes library > flyout>animals (append)

I hear ya craftymomtwo--but I'm still a victim of sticking that stuff in there on a too regular basis. Maybe culling those folders once in a while would be smart??? Sometimes the slowdown is worth it for the most repeated ones.
Thanks Priss. I appreciate it.:)

I'd like to have this abr viewer, but I can't seem to get it to install properly. After I install it and click on the shortcut to open the program I just get "application failed to initialize properly". I've tried rebooting my computer and downloading and installing it again but same thing always happens. Any thoughts on why this is happening/what I'm doing incorrectly?

I am sorry that this is not working for you, I am not sure why the viewer is not working, sounds like you have done all the right things... might try downloading the viewer in the morning maybe it is the site you are down loading from, not your pc. Other them that I don't know what to tell you. sure hope you can get the viewer to work.

I'm new to CS2 and only 4 months old with PSE. I did download this abr viewer but I don't know where to get the brushes and then where to file them when I "do" get them. Are there websites that I can download brushes from?
Thanks for your help.

I disabled Norton but still the same problem. Looks like this is something I will just have to do without.

Hi All ~ I'm new to the forums here and digiscrappin but determined! I too tried to download this ABR Viewer program and it takes me to a page about choosing a "mirror" ???!! Have no idea what this is, but I don't get to any point that I can understand! I'll try in the morning s someone suggested...sounds like something worthwhile. Any helpwould be greatly appreciated!

Moondancer.............
you can choose any mirror........I chose the one in Australia because that is where I am but I don't think it really matters. And then you can just download and save it from there.........and then install it.
If you have read the whole thread, I'm still having the same problem. After I have downloaded it and installed the program, it just won't launch......I continue getting the error message.
AND I FORGOT TO SAY............WELCOME TO THE FORUM.

I finally have the ABR viewer installed. Problem was I didn't have .NET framework installed. I emailed Luigi the developer of this program and he was able to tell me that this was the cause of my problem.
