Selecting font

I'm following along with Jen White's tip this week "Title Tag-Road Trip". I've opened the element "Road Trip" from Aug 2011 Premier kit but don't know how to select just the text and not the background. I'm sure it's simple, but I can't figure it out.

About 5 min after I posted this I figured out the problem. When you apply the Blending Mode -Darken, it fixes the white background problem with the text.

I haven't done the tutorial yet, but to try and answer your question, I just skimmed it real quick. You can just copy in/drag in the png and then just change the blend mode of that layer to DARKEN as the tut mentions. So you are NOT extracting. If you want the words on 2 lines, then either before or after you bring it in, just take a selection tool, such as the LASSO tool and loosely, just go around one of the words, then do a right click and copy it to it's new layer. Then repeat the same with the other word. If you had already brought it the full word to your LO, then just click off the eye, or delete the layer. Hope that helps.
