I want to download the free embellishments, ect into my photo elements 5program. I am really new at this. I do not understand how to download into the proper places in the program. and be able to use in the program. I have them as jpeg files right now. Any help would be really appreciated. I want to subscribe to the Premiere, but not sure if I can get the most out of it without this information. Please be REAL specific. I thank anyone for the info!

Milly,

You don't have to download them INTO Elements. Just go to File->Open and choose the jpeg file. Then, you will have to be in cascade or tile mode to move them into your layout. There is a small icon with 4 squares in the upper right hand corner - click on that and then you can use the move tool to drag the embellishments to your layout.

Well, then maybe I'm doing it right! :o I open them in PE , ( just like I would a jpeg pic) and use till I'm content. Right?..What about the frames from Scrapper's, do I do the same thing? I read somewhere you had to load them into the files of photoelements for them to work.

Milly,

The layer styles you do have to put in a special folder. Linda is very good about providing instructions in the PDF. I can't remember about the frames - if they are effects or jpgs (they're on my other computer). But, jpegs/pngs just open in Elements and use to your heart's content.

Milly Belle, To get the most of your software and anything you download, I highly recommend Linda's tutorial CDs..they are WELL WORTH the price. I am still going through the first CD, but they are by far better than other ones I have purchased.

Warning: once you start, you won't be able to stop because this stuff is addicting! :)

I will also recommend any book by Scott Kelby for your specific program and version. His books are super easy to follow--mine never leave sthe side of my computer! I even asked Santa for the brand new one for PSE 5.0!
