I had created actions a while back to help me assemble my quick albums faster. I assemble mine as 24x12 spreads as it is easier for me to visualize and I tend to scrap that way and then crop for uploading for printing. When I updated my CS5, I must have copied over my actions so I couldn't find them so yesterday I created them again but they are working even better than my old ones. I managed to assemble my quick album and png's for Jan quick album in about 20 minutes last night for all of them. I was pretty happy.

I ended up doing actions for:

-assembling psd file for 2 page spread
-assemble preview to tag in acdsee
-assemble png
-assemble 2 full psd 12x12 files into a 24x12 spread.

There were a couple issues I was having last night and then showering to get ready for work this morning, I had a light bulb moment and had to check before work and it worked. Yeah!

Anyways, just excited as it should save me some time. I was behind in assembling my files.

Clever you, Jodi! Isn't it great when we can streamline things and zip through those tedious tasks!

So happy for you. One of my biggest moments of disillusion when I first got into digital scrapping was that PSE couldn't create actions (I called them macros, for that's what they call them in Word for Windows). And when I first started using CS, it was the biggest thrill that I could now make them. I feel your joy! :D

I do have to say, I do not regret moving up to cs from elements. Although I liked elements and was able to make it do everything I needed it to, I was often doing work arounds. With PS, it is so nice to be able to create actions, presets etc, and loading things is so much easier. I love figuring things out and finding out all the things I can do etc so PS is a good fit for me. I went to 2 monitors not long after as well, and that sure is a lovely addition.
