I realize that this isn't a technical site for problems, but I have tried and tried to contact Adobe about my problem and when I finally was able to find the report bugs page and submitted my problem, Adobe never responded.

I have PSE 5 and when I try to open it a message comes up that says ' This application has failed because coreFoundation.dll was not found". and the program dies, for lack of a better word. I figure it has got to be software related. I still have PSE 4 loaded and it works fine.

I have uninstalled PSE 5 twice to no results and I have tried the fix problem thingy, again to no avail and as I said Adobe won't respond.

Does anyone have a phone number or can someone with some pull with adobe send my problem to them and have them respond to me?

I can't take the software back to the store because it is open and they won't accept it so I have a program that does me no good what so ever. Need some help.

Thanks

Hi

A Google search for corefoundation.dll shows that this file has something to do with a piece of software called Extensis Portfolio.

Extensis Portfolio is a set of tools to do with organising, accessing and sharing digital archives.

Corefoundation.dll certainly does not have anything to do with Elements. I have PSE5 and CS2 on my XP system and don't have corefoundation.dll installed.

Do you use Extensis Portfolio? If so, it might be worthwhile uninstalling and then reinstalling it.

Let us know how you get on.

Did you ever resolve your issue with corefoundation.dll? I have having the exact same problem with CS3 and a reload also did not resolve the problem. It seems to work so I have been ignoring it but something must be wrong.
