I have the educational version, and I haven't used it that much until the WBWT of making the filmstrip.

When I tried Linda's instructions for making the filmstrip frame, I couldn't select all layers on the palatte like she suggested. Since there was no linking icon, I couldn't go that route either.

So I downloaded CS3 Beta and installed it on my external hard drive.

Success. I did the filmstrip in a couple of minutes.

Has anyone else tried to use the educational version?

I really would like to learn Photoshop, but maybe the educational version is not the way to go.

Anyone else with this problem?

Hi,

The only version of Photoshop that I have ever used is the Academic Version (educational). It is a full program that performs just like the other.

I am using CS2. In order to select more than one layer, you select one and then if you want several in order, click on the last one while holding the shift key. If you want more than one and they are separated, you select the first one and then use the command key (I am on a Mac, you might use Control instead on a PC) and click on the others you want to choose.

Does this help?

Healan - I also have the Educational Version and have had no problems at all. Like Vicki said, It is a full program that performs just like the other.

That's all we use at the College. I'm not sure what happened to your settings that you couldn't select all the layers at once. Did you click>shift>click, or maybe push them at the same time? Let us know. You should be perfect with that Educational version.

I finally figured it out. I have the educational version of CS not CS2. No wonder the suite was so cheap.

Oh, well. But now that I know, I can hopefully tailor the instructions to what I have.

Thanks to all who have been so patient with me.
