I've done a couple pages about my father, so decided it was time to do one about my step-father. Although we had a very stormy family life, I give him credit for treating me as if I was his own daughter. It's difficult to make pages about unhappy people, and say things that children and grandchildren may read someday. Poor guy (?). After all these years, none of my 3 half-sisters, his biological children, have anything to do with him....only me and my kids!
Don't you love how they made smoking so glamorous in those days? This was a professional portrait he had taken as a late teen or in his early 20s.
The grunge look, blending techniques, etc., are a perfect metaphor for this page.
