Hello all!
Since Troush mentioned doing the Ctrl, Alt, Shift method for clearing out the Settings and me not being able to do it, I am wondering if those of you using Vista ... I use Ultimate btw ... encounter the same entry that I do?
To start, I downloaded the Patch from Adobe ... 5.0.2 and PE is running in Compatibility Mode.
When I click on my PE icon, my screen goes blank and it asks if I want to allow this program to open, then the Opening box comes up and I choose Edit. I then get another box saying PE is not responding but I click OK and the Editor opens.
Do you all have the same steps when opening?
So happy you are all here!

I had downloaded the patch - ran the set up and then opened PSE 5 I think Ihaev Vista Home Premium. I don't know anything about compatibilty mode and couldn't find anything in the Adobe Help Contents. What exactly is compatibilty mode and where do you find it? Never have gotten anything like you mentioned.

If all is running for you, heavens don't go looking for trouble! I believe the Compatiblility Mode setting was in the Properties area and I was directed to do so way back when I first installed Vista to help with PE5 working.
My husband is now looking into all this and seems to think other programs might be a conflict as well. I have Acrobat Pro 8 and he just found that it is not compatible with Vista.
And this all used to be so easy!
Thanks for the help!
Sherry
