It's because my DH is an electrical engineer, and I'm a former software engineer. We've got computers in our blood...

  2. Default my PSE

Trish, Trish, I think it's working! I am not sure yet, but I tried a few things and it hasn't stalled yet - it's just slow loading.....

I wonder if you know just how relieved I am. Thank you. I will try some more and hope everyone is keeping their fingers crossed. I will let you know, but I think it's working. I could cry...Thank you. I have struggled with this for four days, hours and hours.

    Thank you.

That's great news, Sabina. Two things that seem kind of slow to me in PSE 5.0 (and 6.0) are text editing (like, press the "T" tool and it just seems to take a while to change the option bar into the options for the Text tool - I guess it's populating the fonts menu), and anything with frames.

  4. Default PSE stalling

Yes, Trish, I am trying to avoid using the text tool in PSE 5 because it seems to stall after each move, even if I want to change the color or the font. I use PHotosuite instead. I hatge wasting time and I must admit, some issues have not been resolved in PSE but it is still the better choice for serious editing.

Also maybe I was too hopeful earlier, but it is still very slow. I will have to check out the website you indicated though I will wait till I have my other computer back. You are truly an asset to have in the Forum.

    Thank you for helping.
