How do you resize from 12x12 to 8x8? So all layers are resized.

Go to Image->Resize Image and put in your dimensions. Since you are shrinking the template, you will probably need to check "resample image" at the bottom.

Well, duh, I should have thought of that. Thank you so much for your quick reply. Just learning PSE6, have been using PSP. Thanks again, I have learned so much from this forum!

Hi ...
The only thing that I am wondering is why you want to do it that way ??
I make most of my things 12 x 12 and then when I am finished I make a copy of my final image and reduce the copy in size to 8 x 8 for printing.
That saves me having to resize all the elements I am adding to the page

Excellent point, Wendy. That saves me having to resize all the elements I am adding to the page
I create at 12x12 - save at 3600x3600 - and when it comes time to print - that's when I resize to 8x8.

Related Question from a newbie...
How do you tell what size a layout is in PSE after it's been opened? For example, kits I have bought or freebies I have downloaded...once I open them in PSE, how can I tell if they are designed as 12x12 or 8x8?

Go to Image->Image Size and the dialog will tell you the size. Or, just turn on your rulers and look at the rulers. (I like to leave my rulers on.)

Thank you, Trish! One more question...I know you can resize from 12x12 to
8x8, but can you resize from 8x8 to 12x12 and have it be OK for printing?

Generally speaking, upsizing is not as good. But, experiment with Elements. The "Bicubic sharper" method may give you good results.
