Some of you expressed interest in seeing my book when it was finished. I have to say, it is so spectacular it brings tears to my eyes. Viovio did a MARVELOUS job. I couldn't be happier (except for the goof I made and didn't catch during proof-reading, by sending 2 pages in a smaller format). Although Viovio does not display it in book form, I will send you a link to the gallery if you are interested enough to send me a PM.

Glad to hear that it turned out so good. I will PM you as I'm interested in looking at your work, plus at the vendors work. Sorry you did have one goof...am sure no one but yourself would notice.
I just did 2 Shutterfly books. They were both primarily pictures using their template layouts, with only a couple of scrapbook pages in them. The quality was very, very nice, but I was disappointed with the limitations, say of the fonts and changing them say on for the page numbers. I emailed them to make sure I wasn't missing something..and I wasn't. Guess they just don't have as much flexibility as I thought it was going to have. I did one book for pictures of a childs birthday party and Shutterfly did have great colored backgrounds for it. Also did another one of pictures of a deceased cat...again, nice backgrounds.
Took a Blurb class and dinked around their site and it seems like they have more options, so I think I will give them a try for my next book, or maybe after seeing your Viovio I'll give them a shot.
Look forward to seeing your book...and the wonderful places you visited! NEAT!!!
Does Viovio have a paper quality option like Blurb?
Thanks!

I can't remember about the paper options...I just opted for "the best," but I think that was regarding the cover.

Sheesh. I just realized that some of the photos in my book actually have my kid's addresses bold and clear. Not a smart thing to be posting around. Sorry, but I'm going to have to withdraw my offer to send the link.

Shar so glad your book turned out nicely. I've done 2 shutterfly books this year, they both turned out great. Just something about having your work in hard cover makes it look better.
Here is the link to My Little Birdie Told Me book, It is being featured at Shutterfly under Nature, and Digital Scrapbooking categories.

Connie, your book is exquisite...beautiful photos, lovely scrapping/colors/elements. Shutterfly is so good (but I couldn't use them for a book the size of mine), and I love the way they display the project as an actual book. That is a big downside of Viovio...they show your creation as a PDF file, and it has nowhere near the feel of a real book.
Congratulations on a job so beautifully done.

I just got done 2 hard cover 8x8 books from shutterfly & I had one 8x8 soft cover from viovio .And any day now I should be getting a 12x12 hardcover from viovio. It's in the mail. They are all very nice.I had the books made cause I got so far behind in printing my scrapbook pages.I do think it takes alot of time to have a book made online. Took me way too much time!!!Much easier to just print out at home & the pages look just a good if not better! That's my plan. That soft cover from viovio is adorable for a one theme album like a mini vacation or maybe of a grandchild to have pages of themselves to look at..Viovio has a new program now to make a book easier. Haven't tried it since it just began when I made my 12x12.Can't wait to see it.

Some websites are easier than others once you get the hang of it. I just love the professional way the published books look. They dazzle others who look at them, and seem to raise the value of the photos and the effort that goes into all the digi scrapping. But so far, I have only made books of specific THEMES. I, too, print "everyday pages" at home and put them into an album.

Shar, I finally got a chance to look at your book. Terrific job. Looks like you included many techniques. That page with the $4+ gas prices will be a great one as the years go by!
