    Default Is PE7 compatible with Vista 64 bit?

    I am shopping for a new laptop with Vista 64 bit and PE7 states it supports 32 bit. After reading a few message boards on Adobe Forums it appears it will work but sometimes with a few problems. Anyone have any problems?

    Thanks,
    Penny

    Penny , I installed elements 5 on my laptop running windows vista 64 bit. It seems to work fine. I don't use it at all . Just thought I would give it a try. I use CS3 all the time.
    Give a try and see what happens.

    Thanks, Marge.
    I did buy the computer last night. I haven't had time yet to install PE7 into the new computer yet but from what I have learned on other forums I have visited I expect it will work ok. Apparently there can be some minor gliches but there are work arounds.

    Hi Penny, if you are shopping for a new computer be sure to check out the vidio memory card. this is so important when running any graphics program. The video memory should have a dedicated amount. If the Video card has a shared amount so be sure that the dedicated amount is large enough to run graphics. when the intergrated Video Memory is indecated as yes, it means that the computer uses a portion of system RAM to support the graphic chipset.
    hope this helps

    Default Is PE7 compatible with Vista 64 bit.

    Here is the link for Windows Vista Compatibility Center;
    microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/ Be sure you have change to 64 bit in the side bar.

    Before you install Your PSE7 go this site and download the installer from there. Chances are the software that came in the PSE7 box is outdated and you will need to use this site for the updated driver that is needed for Vista 64bit.
    I did this and have had not problems with PSE7 running Vista 64bit.
    Hope this helps
