    Default We're so ironic!

Ya gotta love us digi scrappers.

Back in the early days of paper scrapping, a wrinkled up piece of paper would have been considered a loss, and we would have tried to salvage at least part of it for a mat or punched element. Now we go to great lengths to MAKE crumpled-looking paper, or pay for that which others have made!

And back in the early paper scrapping days, we would have taken every precaution to be sure that a grid of photos was lined up with perfect accuracy. Now we take care to see how many we should off-set, and by how much, for the most pleasing effect.

Just a little muse I had as I was perusing the gallery, and reviewing the 16 pages I've made in the past few days of my cross-country trip.

16 pages on a cross country trip? Didn't you ever look out the window at the sites? Hope you had a wonderful time. Am sure you put that new camera to good use.

You're right of course with the crumpled paper-guess I never even gave it a second thought.

    Shar ...

When I first started scrapbooking I found it very hard to understand why people should want a crumpled up paper

And if you stamped something and it didn't come out perfect, it was a disappointment! Now we use fonts that are imperfect, trying to get that 'home-made' look....

Oh yes, I made a concerted effort to not hide behind the camera. And 16 pages is just the travel portion of the trip....haven't even begun the pages of photos of the week we were in MA!

It really is funny when you think about how we distress things
