Helllo,
I am still in the learning stage of PSE and i was wanting to know can i turn a brush image into a custom shape? PSE7 comes with some nice images but i want more swirly kind of shapes and i have some in my brushes that i would love to have in my shapes. Does anyone know if i can do this? or any suggestions on how i can download or buy more custom shapes?
I would really appreciate any help you can give me,
Thank you,

You can't create custom shapes in PSE - you need PS to do that.
The Adobe Exchange has some custom shapes.

However, you can put a brush stroke on a new layer, then put whatever photo or background paper you want on a layer above it; click CTRL + G to group the photo or BG paper with the brush stroke, and you will have your custom shape.

Adobe Exchange is just an Adobe website where you can download all kinds of stuff:
shapes, brushes, styles, gradients, actions, etc:
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchang...uctHome&exc=16
Some of those listed on the exchange will also be found if you google as many people have their own websites and just add them to the exchange. Just google for them and any other thing you might want...fonts, brushes, styles, etc. Some of the free brush sites also have free custom shapes... myphotoshopbrushes is one, deviantantart is another..... but again, there are all kinds of them out there. Google just needs to be a close friend.
Have fun.Last edited by dmrdm; 11-02-2009 at 01:23 PM.

Adobe's exchange/marketplace is where users of Adobe products give away or sell brushes, shapes, actions, layer styles, templates, etc., that they've made.
