Guidelines for people posting pages:
If you are open to constructive feedback, honest opinions and creative critiques of your projects and pages, to help you grow and learn, this is the Forum for you.
Just post your pages in the Creative Critique Gallery, and then post a link to it here in this thread so we know that it's there. Please be sure to state in the Gallery description (and in your post on this thread) exactly what kind of help you're looking for, so that we will know where to begin. If you already know what it is you want help on, give us a few details.
For instance, if you're not happy with the placement of your images and elements, and you'd like help with composition, let us know. If you think you can improve your photos, but don't know how to begin, tell us. If you're stuck for a page title and want people to offer suggestions, just ask. You get the idea.
On the other hand, if you just get stuck and don't like the look of your page, or don't really know what to do to make improvements, don't worry, just say so, and allow people to offer their suggestions.
Then, make changes and post your edited layout. Leave the original layout so that people can see the changes that have been made! The work you do might just help someone else.
Guidelines for people offering suggestions, feedback or advice:
Please be kind, first and foremost. Everyone's skill levels and creative experience are different, so be supportive.
That said, this is not the Forum to leave the standard, "Oh how pretty!" remarks and drive-by compliments, either. The people posting want to hear suggestions for improvements, so let's help them out. Generic compliments without constructive feedback will be deleted.
Leave your suggestions and critiques on the Gallery page, not in this Forum, please. That way everyone can see and learn.
If you like something about a page, say what you like first. Then offer tips to help improve the parts of the page that you find less appealing.
If we all work together on this, we can grow in our skills and help others to grow as well!
Have fun!

Hello Jan, I am now 1/3 way through my class and have only just discovered that the Creative Critique Forum exists. Could I respectfully suggest that information about this be included for us newbies along with the How to Post to a Gallery information at the beginning. I only stumbled on it by accident. And then found it very difficult to find again today to post here.
Anyway, delighted to find it now, I have just uploaded 2 pages on My Story Early Years here:
http://digitalscrapper.com/forums/ga...-right&cat=995.
I am happy enough with my layout, but as I am a total newbie to scrapbooking, I feel my attempts at decoration are a bit feeble. I would welcome any comments of how I could improve either/both of these pages, whether it be layout suggestions or decoration. Thanks.~~~~~~~~~~~

I like this page, but it seems to need something. Any help would be appreciated. I couldn't decide what to do for a title or where to put the journaling.

I think it looks fine, Pam! Personally, I would incorporate the egret brush (image) with your title on the left side where the title is now, and move the journaling to the area underneath the photos on the right side. But that's just a personal thing for me. That way, neither element is 'floating' so to speak.

Hello, I have just uploaded a double spread "My Mother" and "Mum's Family" which are here:
http://digitalscrapper.com/forums/ga...family&cat=500 and here:
http://digitalscrapper.com/forums/ga...mother&cat=500.
I would like any comments please. I chose different flowers because violets were Mum's favourite, but didn't think they necessarily went with the other page.
Thanks in advance~~~~~~~~~~~
