    Default Making Orbs ...

Just thought I would share the technique of making Orbs as one or two people have sent me messages asking how to do them.

They really are simple and very effective ... just follow these steps:

    First crop your image square
Then do Filter>Distort>Polar Co-ordinates and use the setting Polar to Rectangular
    Next Image>Rotate>Flip Horizontal
    then Image>Rotate>Vertical
Finally Filter>Distort>Polar Co-ordinates and use the setting Rectangular to Polar.

    ... and that is it.

Here is one I made ... and I hope you enjoy making Orbs

Oh neat. Thank you Wendy. What type of image did you use for your orb? Was it something made of glass? It sure has a nice design.

This is my Jam Orb, made from a photo of three jars of Quince Jelly. I'll get around to doing the base next.

    Lovely idea. Thank-you for sharing.

Here is another one from me ... this time I duplicated the Orb, made several smaller ones and just played around with them
