PSE 9 How to minimize to project bin

I just upgraded from PSE 7 to PSE 9 and cannot figure out how to minimize my open images to the project bin. If I open 7 pictures at the same time and want to work with them one at a time, in PSE 7 all I did was minimize them. I can close them and they are gone-------but I want to keep them in the project bin.

Ok------- I read some more posts and figured out that I need to edit my preferences to allow for floating documents. Yea!!
