    Default PSE 10 not exiting?

I'm using Windows 7 and the PSE 10 trial... anyone else seeing in task manager, that even after you've exited PSE 10 Editor, that if you look in the "processes" PSE Editor is still listed? (It's not in the Applications tab, just the Processes tab.) In fact, I had to kill it in the Processes tab to relaunch the Editor a 2nd time. I'm wondering if this is just a trial bug, or if the bug also exists in PSE 10 regular?

Never mind. Now that I've provided it with my AdobeID, it's not doing it anymore... But, I'll leave this thread in case someone else runs into the same thing...

Mine is not closing either. I bought it at costco upgrading from PSE7. I am having to go to Task Manager and end it because just closing out of the program doesnt do it. I not sure what you mean that ypu just put in your Adobe ID? Was that just for the trial version? I appreciate any suggestions

    My OS is Vista Home.

Mine goes away in processes. I don't have my Adobe ID entered. I'm not on the trial.

Here is a thread at Adobe.

It didn't work, or I have done something wrong....

I copied and pasted that path to make a shortcut, which it did (I followed the directions in the link) then I clicked on it to end and went to Task Manager Processes to check, sure enough Adobe10 is still showing! I clicked on my old desktop icon to see if it would let me open and it will not.
Now what?... I appreciate any suggestions- I am totally bummed, I was so looking forward to PSE10, but this is crazy.

I was having the same problem. The solution for me was to delete the shortcut from the desktop that was put on during the installation. I then browsed out to the PSE10 program file and copied the shortcut for PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe to the desktop. This opens the program directly into Editor. I also noticed that it opens much faster.

On my system, the path for the file is:
    c:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe
    Pamela
    PSE10
    Windows 7

Thanks- I'll try doing it that way.
