How many layers does elements 9 hold.
I am trying to make squares across and down the 12 by 12 page. I would need 144 layers. Must be an easier way to do this. Is there a place that will cut the space in half or quarters. I have the grid open, but don't know if that helps other than to fill each space with the small square and duplicate it 143 timesThere is madness to what I am doing lol

Hi Bon,
If you can give us some specifics about what you're trying to accomplish, we might be able to offer some suggestions for an easier way to do it.

I am so bad at explaining. Is there away I can post a picture?
I figure if had a template with all squares. I could join them several different ways to make pages. I could keep some of the squares small, merge some to make a square, merqe others for a rectangle of hid some I don't want. All from one template. I also have a really cool page I want to scraplift that someone made and it has alot of these tiny squares with her picture, inside one big page of her face that the opacity is lowered on. It is so cool but don't know how to show it to you. Yep this is as clear as mud. Can I email it to you?Bonnie

I did try to email you the picture, but I used the email at the bottom of your post and it came back saying not an email address. I checked spelling twice. Forget this I can't get it deleted. How do you delete something you posted. I think it went thru this time.

Are these all going to be little 1"x1" squares? You could go to Edit>Preferences>Grid (or Ctrl K) and change the settings to 1 inch. Then View>Grid to see the grid on your page (or Ctrl ' ). Use your Rectangle Tool to create one of the squares. Then Alt and drag (makes a copy) on that square while moving it to the next position on your grid. Continue doing this until you have all the desired squares you need.
There are a number of other ways to accomplish this; this is only one way.Lana

Bonn, I received your picture and it looks like you're trying to achieve what Landorasue described above. Give those instructions a try and if you hit any snags, let us know back here...
