I use guides all of the time, but I didn't know this option. I don't think this is one I knew and forgot....I think I just never knew it...but who knows.
It may or may not come in useful to you, but thought I'd share anyway. If you're dragging out a guide and you decide you want it to go the other direction, just hold down your ALT key as you're dragging and it switches to the other direction.
Okay...I know, I get excited about the smallest things.

Doris, Wish I had known that a week ago..Could have used it. I like Loretta, hope I don't forget it for use in the future. I would always clear the guides and start over, now I don't have to.

Hi Jill,
VIEW>NEW GUIDE.
View>Show Guides.
That would be the guides we set up to mark centers, line up things, position items or mark safe zones for printing, etc. They are non-printing lines. You can move them, remove them, hide them...add as many as you want....
I usually have smart guides and snap to guides turned on also.
Hope that helps you out a little.
